Soren said it today and got it right - Andy Reid will get a guy 'high school open' through pure scheme at least once or twice a game. Those times where the play design is just so damn clever that suddenly things open up.
That rocket toss for Hunt's TD run? That was off a similar concept as those shovel passes and you have to believe all those in the back of their minds held up those LBers a little. The deep throw to Hunt - anyone notice what Hill was up to? He was strictly a decoy designed to pull the safety out of the middle. Safety crashes up to spy Hill in the flats and the middle comes wide open for Hunt to fly up the seam.
Hill's TD wasn't quite so clever; that was just McCourty eating shit in cover 2 and biting on Kelce (wonder if they saw something on tape there).
Reid's just a hell of a coach, fellas. The guy is mortal and has his annoying quirks like anyone else, but the big ol' boy is always playing chess out there.
My worry is that Matt Nagy is going to be a damn good HC in this league and Reid won't want to leave before Nagy gets offered a job. I'd love to see Reid helm the ship for another 3-4 years (ideally win a title in there) then turn the reins over to Nagy.

I wouldn't mind Britt Reid taking over either, but I think the ideal situation for the future is Brett Veach as GM, Matt Nagy as HC and Britt Reid as DC.
