No, he's not as smart as RG3. RG3 is a special, special guy. But Geno smith has all the tools, and this isn't rocket science. You can't be Jamarcus Russel, but you don't have to be Stephen Hawking.
It's not like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are Nobel Laureates. They just know how to play the game.

We need a general on the field and Geno hasn't shown that. I can't think of a single QB who won the Superbowl that wasn't a field general or a natural born leader. Even the game managers were strong leaders.
Right now, our biggest need is leadership on the field imo. No one is stepping up. I have no idea why Berry is not a captain like he was in his rookie year. It almost seems like he is hesitant to speak up because he's not a captain. DJ isn't vocal and if Winston is our leader on offense, we are ****ed.
We need a QB for sure but, we need leadership more than anything.
