I'd say that Gronk would have a chance. But there are major IF's.
1. He needs to stay healthy...he's gotten off to a hotter start in his career than TonyG, but he needs to stay healthy and he seems to be injury prone as of late.
2. The last 2/3 of his career he will most likely not play w/ Tom Brady. If the Pats win another SB this season....Brady will probably only play 3-4 yrs, and will either retire, or some team will be stupid enough to trade a 1st to NE for him for one last hurrah/SB push (maybe a Scott Pioli-led team
). Once the Pats lose Brady that team is going to suck...I'm talking 3-4 win seasons. And Gronk won't nearly have the production.
