Finally escaped in the jet without taking any missiles. The key was just taking straight off, instead of trying to turn and actually use the length of the base to try to take off. It was damn close, but I made it over the fence and out of range.
Landed it safely at my Hangar, now Im just working on how Im going to get that attack chopper out of there. It doesn't move nearly as fast, and the last time I attempted it, I took a missile before I got 10 feet off the ground.

Knowing the depth of this game you'll probably have to find an inside guy, take out the guys manning the missiles, or find some tech guy with the tech to scramble the missiles from locking in on you or fire defensive measure heat flares to avoid being hit. I'm not even close to as far but if you are getting taken out almost immediately then it seems its not a quick action tactical move but something you have to do before attempting to steal the chopper?
