The guy went to the University of Nevada. He grew up in a small town which wasn't an NFL town. A lot of these guys coming from college to the NFL don't understand the fandom, don't understand the loyalty (and hate) and so on.
Personally, I think it's silly but obviously, others disagree and call him "stupid".
