are you saying Alex can get back there without a top 5 defense? Because he just proved in the playoffs he cant all by himself. And I like Alex, but he's still a QB that needs a good ****ing defense. There's not many QBs that don't, but he falls in that good QB/needs a defense tier that many others do.

A #1 defense and top running attack can get any QB there. Look at Seattle, San Francisco, Baltimore, etc. The problem with those AFCC-losing Sanchez/Jets teams was that he was the one holding the rest of the team back.
Alex proved he can do more than his share to get it done during the playoffs but like every other NFL team, needs the rest of the team to do their part too.
