Ever since Cassel was signed in 2009 the narrative has always been that a team's best (amd dare I say only) shot at winning *multiple* championships is by drafting and developing a QB in the 1st round. And this prototypical drafted QB must be the gunslinging type that is expected to complete passes with a yardage above that of the league average on a consistent basis. Any other permutation involving QB type and means of acquisition has been determined to be a rehashing the Carl and Pioli eras.
