Well it's a bit harder than that. I don't want to hijack this thread, but it's my thread - so who cares.
Step one is to rip them all and find a place to put them all (which as I upgrade computers has become increasingly hard to do. And then you're talking about finding a way to get them to all your devices when you want.
I have a HTC One S and Nexus 7, neither of which have SD card slots. But that's the choice I made, so I can't bitch about it. I still have an older Macbook Pro (not retina), so right now I use that mostly for travel. But I'm getting sick of the weight, so I want to upgrade soon. On the new Macbook Pro, SD would still be an option.
Right now, my general thought is to build an HTPC and a general "home cloud" with everything on it, and download/stream from there as I want. But I need to research it all much more. I'd prefer to do that along with a real cloud service, but I suspect I'll run into some storage and copyright problems. But we'll see.
