Los Angeles shooting guard Namon Wright on Thursday said on Twitter that he asked for and was granted “permission to talk to other schools/coaches, with restrictions” by Missouri.
Wright, a 6-foot-4 four-star rated guard from Pacific Hills High who is ranked No. 73 overall in the class of 2014 by Rivals.com, signed a national letter of intent with the Tigers in November.
Wright met with new Missouri coach Kim Anderson on Tuesday in Los Angeles and said the meeting went well.
“Recently, I met with Coach Anderson, and I believe he is a really good guy and wants big things out of the program,” Wright said on Twitter. “Our time together was great.”
Wright, who averaged 24 points and 9.3 rebounds as a senior, went on to say that he would “still strongly consider going to Missouri. I just need to make sure I’m in the right situation for me” in a follow-up tweet.
