Crabtree has always sided on the "other" qb. See Troy Smith. Anyone that feeds him the ball is his favorite.
I suspect that the Greenbay game shut up the detractors...for two reasons...ALex would not have ever ran like that and at that point it was pretty obvious that Harbaugh was not going to change his mind.
I am looking forward to seeing Alex play for the Chiefs. A lot of people are going to have eat some crow and admit that the guy is a legit baller and not a product of a system.

Crab was difficult and selfish. And he was a complainer and did not like Alex. Pretty obvious to the fan in SF in the past. When Alex was in, Vernon Davis was his go to guy. When Kap was in, Crab was his go to guy. In fact Vernon Davis complained about Alex being benched, said he was the starter and then got no balls. He eventually stated that he had no chemistry with Kap. Eventually Harbaugh got to him and changed his tune. But he also sent a message to Davis by giving Delany Walker more time in his job. Of course Now Delany is gone. I agree with your assessment about Smith. He will be much better than people give him credit for.
