But your right about the stands i had to do a lot of hunting around for some cheap stands that were sturdy enough they wouldnt get knocked over. There are not many out there.

Well, a Yamaha is system IS relatively "high-end" so I wouldnt skimp on the cables...they WILL make a difference! I just bought a similar system from Onkyo and I can tell you that if you were going to buy the same system you had better buy the high-end cables to go with it. The difference in sound quality was more than obvious.
As for stands, I made my own but I am a steel fabricator with access to all the high gloss stainless steel that I need. The stainless steel stands along with the silver system looks pretty nice and nobody can tell that they are home-made.
