By FAR and away, it has to be Pink Floyd. When you're putting out timeless and remarkable albums such as Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, then you are not only the king of prog, but one of the better bands that ever was. Their quality and success is virtually unmatched and remarkable. And this list doesn't even include albums like Meddle, A Saucerful of Secrets, and Ummagumma, which are still better than most shit put out by bands.

Rush, on the other hand, have had a couple of great albums- most particularly, the ever-popular Moving Pictures and 2112. Two very dramatic and excellent albums. A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, and Permanent Waves, are all very good and entertaining albums. But Rush has never been able to live up to their profound success of Moving Pictures and quite frankly, has never been the same band since. I've been listening to their latest album and it sounds awful. I'm sorry, but it sounds like Neal Peart is on a drum machine and they tragically killed Lifeson's guitar on this latest wreck. These three guys are terribly talented and this album regretfully dulls their talents. Old Rush is good Rush.

Queensrych...yeah, whatever.
