Being negative is simply at best being a fair-weather fan...
Now let me explain that...
Negative is: Always complaining about the bad 24-7, never seeing the good, never seeing the positives and going into game-time situations with the attidtude of: [i]Why does it matter? This team sucks, they aren't going to win. They're just a bunch of losers... etc... etc... etc...[/i]
Being a TRUE FAN, on the other hand--there are times where you're going to be angry, you're going to have bad things to say, you're going to chastise and go off. You're going to call for the heads of bad coaches and call for the benching of terrible players. You will make negative comments...because you LOVE your team...
Yet at the same time, you're not going to quit cheering for them, you're not going to give up your passion for them... and while you may not belive that they'll win every game, you're not going to sit down to watch the game (no matter who they play) without having that deep down feeling and hope that says: [i]Hey, they can win this thing.[/i]
