Meh, that one stood for 13 years, got really REALLY tall, and had that unfortunate "Y" about five feet off the ground. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I think the larger half (perhaps by small percentage) is the side that came down, so the remaining part might stand a better chance of standing and providing some shade. I had thought about putting bolts through the Y to help it hold, but I'm pretty sure that would have killed it!
It's all good... And when it's time for the rest to come down, it'll be a hell of a good work-out getting the roots out of the ground. Then I get to start all over I suppose!
The good news is that I'm going to have some pretty awesome fire-pit wood next year! At lest 3-4 good nights of fires in what fell.
