not related to stealing but one year when I was like 12 or so, I had savecd up my money for months etc, and bought a butt-load of fireworks for the 4th. Well, leading up to the 4th my friends and I were lighting off bottle rockets etc. My dad said to stop etc. Next day, I did it again. He told me to stop again.
I did it again, and he took my entire huge stash of fireworks; never saw them again lol.
He also did something similar to my nintendo. I was neglecting my homework etc, and he told me I need to get in gear or he'd take it.
I didn't get in 'gear', and I came home from school and it was missing. Never to be seen again either lol
