I can't speak for others, but the fear I have is that Alex will play OK but not great and earn what most Chief QB's get, more time than they deserve. I know that past regimes don't control the fate of this one, but my fear is there just the same. Alex not getting a new contract was a good start at least. I just want this organization to judge the QB with their eyes and not go OUT OF THEIR WAY to find a way to defend them.
A healthy amount of the fan base seems to only want a chance at a fun season with a risk-free QB, and until something different happens I am not going to be able to trust that the organization looks at the QB position differently. Just have to hope that it isn't the case, or that Alex actually is more than I think he is.
