I don't think it's any accident that the language in this proposed amendment mirrors the Second Amendment. These people are going to use this amendment to challenge probably a host of existing regulations in court.

It's not much comfort in the answer above that it doesn't "change or repeal that law". No Amendment "changes or repeals a law" it doesnt need to, it is legally superior to statutory laws and regulations. It voids them by operation of law or court interpretation.

Smells like the big out-of-state agribusinesses are behind this one. They came in about two years back and Brownback helped them repeal our rule in KS.
That is my interpretation and feeling as well. That is why I am voting no plus I don't think farmers need any special protection any more than they have currently.

I am also voting no on the DOT tax. They just need to repeal the law that blocks toll roads and make I-70 and I-44 toll roads.
