Who knows? I could see TX joining Notre Dame in the B1G or OU and possibly others in the PAC.
Hell, I wouldn't totally rule out the SEC. The "haves" are going to consolidate power until they don't have to subsidize the "have nots". Its been happening, and its going to keep happening.
I agree with Plow's comment about what KU is trying to do. They are dumping a ton of money into the program all of a sudden. It seems logical to me that they are trying to force themselves into football relevency sooner rather than later.
CW is a "win now" hire rether than a guy who is going to lay a foundation for something great in the future. Couple that with the way he is putting together his roster, and it has the feel of a guy who has been told "get us into the top half of the conference as quickly as you can, and we'll worry about building a solid program once we have a long-term home".
He isn't here to turn over rocks in Kansas in order to find hidden gems and build relationships with area high schools. He's taking fliers on big prospects that haven't panned out elsewhere.
Hell, Grunny is extremely disliked by area coaches who competed against him. If you are building for the long haul, I don't see why you make that hire.
Who knows, though? Its a bold strategy. Should be interesting in a soap opera kind of way. More than half of my friends are KU fans, so I'll be watching it happen for better or worse.
