Don't read too much into statements right now, everyone is trying to cover their legal ***. Remember last year with the SEC:
"We have had no contact with Texas A&M. We feel as hough we have the perfect numbers and makeup of membership and we are not interested in expanding at this time."
"If I wanted to get to 16, I could do it tomorrow."

Its like an early 1800s Presidential race where the candidates offer their faux humility while employing various media to do the campaigning for them.
