The guy has 800 ABs in the high minors of absolutely
destroying minor league pitching. And in the majors he had 2 separate ungodly hot streaks.
There's not a hole in his swing as much as his approach absolutely fell to hell in October - as did the approach of just about everyone else. When he's locked in, he spits on that down and away pitch (as is the case with every powerful LH hitter). When he's not, he doesn't recognize the break/location and he strikes out.
There's no reason to believe that he's more likely to be 'off' his entire career. In fact, he's a a good bet to improve substantially, IMO.
