By far and large schools arent paying players. You are right though and we shouldnt kid ourselves that they dont get free shit. The alumns and boosters in Lawrence im sure funnel benefits from time to time. But its not like a recruit is like...ok...Illinois is giving me 50k, KU is giving me 100k so im going to Kansas. Most of these kids dont know they will get any benefitsuntil they step on campus
