She has a $30 Plantronics headset and her mic is loud and crystal clear over Skype. They have good bass and excellent sound quality. I was honestly shocked at how good they sounded when i first put them on. It made me jealous enough to go buy a set for myself.

I dont think either headset that we purchased will work on a 360, but my point is: Don't be afraid of the cheaper models. After listening to the $250 headsets at Bestbuy, and listening to my $50 headset, i honestly cant tell what makes the expensive ones $200 better.

I think it's the true 7.1 surround sound (which is a MUST if you want to beat the best on games like COD) that makes the difference. My old X41's, which I got from Buck, are freaking amazing.
As far as suggesting a pair right now, I would go with Razer Tiamat or Megalodon. They come with native amps, which is
really nice.
