SI just had an updated top 40 big board and Smith is outside of the top 20 with an arrow going down. KC apparently didn't even bother to wait until the combine was over to negotiate the Alex Smith trade.

They had an interview with him that likely confirmed a suspicion they had regarding a fatal flaw in him as a prospect.
It didn't have anything to do with his physical testing, that's for sure.
They disliked him enough to pay far out the ass for Alex ****ing Smith.
They have to HATE Geno.
