A Florida Trifecta!

Not one, not two, but THREE stories from the most dysfunctional state of the union...our hotbed of special interest journalism...FLORIDA!

Story #1. Nicole Dobol, 29, has been charged with arson and burglary.
Maybe she just wanted to rekindle their old flame.

Nicole Dobol, 29, was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly breaking into her ex-boyfriend's apartment and setting fire to a mattress where he and another woman were sleeping, according to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

On Nov. 11, Dobol reportedly was searching for her ex at Hog Heaven Bar and Grill in Islamorada, Fla. His roommate told her that the man in question was at their apartment.

Some roommate.

Deputies say Dobol busted into the apartment and made her way into the bedroom, where her ex and his new flame were asleep.

In the heat of jealousy, Dobol allegedly torched the mattress. According to the release, Dobol stood over the couple, "taunting" them while the flames leapt around them.

The man's roommate told deputies the fire was still burning when he got home. He also claims that Dobol said she started the blaze because it "made her crazy" to see her ex with another woman.

Dobol initially got away, but her dreams of escape went up in smoke when she was arrested last week on an outstanding warrant and was subsequently charged with arson and burglary.

Story #2. A drunk Florida dad stumbled into a strip club's liquor store on Sunday night and left his 11-month-old baby at the establishment, cops say.

Kenneth Rowe, 26, was reportedly wasted when he walked into Shark Lounge liquor store in Daytona Beach and asked a clerk to watch his baby boy, according to WFTV.

It's unclear whether the clerk actually agreed, but Rowe nevertheless ditched the baby for the Shark Lounge gentleman's club, which sits in the same building, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

The clerk called police and reported that the baby was hungry and had a rash on his face.

Cops caught up with Rowe and charged him with child neglect. The boy is now with the state Department of Children and Families.

The Shark Lounge, which promises "We Will Rock You" on its website, hails itself as Daytona Beach's number-one class act and proclaims it "has always made the topic of conversation."

Story #3. A Florida man struck out while trying to execute a triple play -- involving his wife, a buddy and a baseball bat.

Robert Briley, 44, was arrested on Dec. 16 after allegedly taking a swing at his buddy, whom he'd asked to join in on a threesome with him and his wife, TCPalm.com reported today.

The incident began at 3:55 a.m. in Vero Beach, where Briley and his friend had reportedly been drinking the day before.

Briley "repeatedly asked [the friend] to have a threesome," but his friend refused, according to a police report obtained by the site.

In the report, the officer notes that Briley wanted his wife to engage in fellatio with his friend, and then the three would have sex. When Briley pushed the issue further, the friend said he would take Briley's 37-year-old wife into his room alone.

Briley allegedly became irate and started swinging the aluminum bat.
Nobody was injured, but after the chaos, Briley went to sleep and was woken up by police. He said he'd been drinking, according to the report, but denied swinging the bat at his friend.

Briley was charged with aggravated assault and taken to jail.

It's not the only menage-a-tragedy to hit the pages of The Huffington Post. Last year, a man died while having an extra-marital threesome in Georgia. William Martinez's family won a $3 million lawsuit after it was revealed that Martinez's cardiologist didn't warn him to avoid physical exertion.
