And everybody knows (unless they want to posture about being a manly man!!) that a fuzzy navel and/or a mud-slide taste better than ANY scotch or bourbon "neat". They may fear being called a homo if they tell the truth, but in their heart they know it tastes better. Then, after jutting-out their chest, they'll admit that they do love Jello shots. Like they're really any different than a fuzzy navel.
LOL, I remember being in a "biker" bar in Charleston, SC with a group of "ship's company" friends from the boat and was amazed at how their voice deepened as they said to the cute bartender, "Gimmie a beer and a Yukon Jack!!" It was both sad and funny! I followed it up with a request for "Coffee and Bailey's"!!! They had it...

Nonsense I rarely mix a drink with anything sweet. Splash of water occasionally. I have never found a taste for single malt scotch but single barrel bourbon has so many different flavors. And it doesn't have be the most expensive or longest aged. Most 10 year old are fine by me. Elijah Craig 10 yo is reasonable and hard to beat. Straight or a splash.
I am 57 yo and I have no need to stick my chest out and strut. It does that on its own now.
