Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Big 12 meant no Big 12. Or a Big 12 you didn't want to be a part of. It wasn't like Nebraska or Colorado leaving. We were talking about the viability of the the whole conference.
The tectonic plates were still shifting at the time and Texas and OU wanted out every single year since 2009.
There were no good reasons for Missouri not to pull the trigger.

UT/OU leaving the conference obviously would have killed it. Personally, I'd still like NU & MU in the conference....nobody really cared about CU leaving.
How long had MU been actively trying to get into the Big 10?
