The bottom line is NASCAR's rules are very subjective and arbitrary, and they seem to base a lot of rules-related decisions on things that seem to affect profit. No news there!

And that certainly is the realistic view of it. Still, I always find it amazing when they actually follow through on this stuff, holding enough comfort to just throw out some bullshit answer without concern for the consequences since they don't exist.
