This is one of those so-weird topics. On one hand in this country a guy is innocent until proven guilty, but on the other hand we (as a society) still have a tendency towards secondary victimization with sexual assault, and as we see here, the default setting is "gold digger". The flip side of that coin is that someone like Kaepernick can afford the kind of defense that will most likely get him off (ooh, that was a poor choice of phrase) regardless of the facts.
I have trouble sometimes balancing all those various facets.
