The online gaming freaks are a small minority in all this. Kids that just log in to play at night after football practice or before they go to sleep dont give one rats ass about the difference between 720 and 1080, they dont even care.
Its just get what system appeals to you. I picked up the WIi U very very happy with it. IN the fall ill pick up the ps4 or the XBone. I still have time to see how the games look when the fall comes.

Obviously that will always be the case. But knowing the facts, I find it hard to go in on a more expensive piece of hardware with inferior specs, and with all the insanely bad PR that Microsoft had in 2013.
