-starboard wing – the #4 engine is hit, and goes wild. Clint in Wichita tries to control the plane, while Loki works to shut down the runaway engine.

Loki manages to get the #4 engine shut down, but the mission is doomed. With only 3 engines, Lucy Quipment can’t keep up with the formation. With no choice, and also not wanting to delay getting medical attention to jazzzlovr, Clint drops out of formation and turns the plane around. They leave the bombs on board because they’re so close to England that they might as well bring them back.

Zone 2: English Channel

It’s a busy day over the Channel.

4 Fw190s attack

old_geezer fires, misses
chiefsfan58 fires, damages Fw190
patteeu fires, misses

The damaged Fw misses, breaks off attack

2 Fws miss, but circle around for another attack since Lucy Quipment is alone and damaged

Fw scores 1 hit, circles, attacks again
-bomb bay – PING – a bomb is hit, but doesn’t explode

old_geezer fires, misses
patteeu fires, misses
Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan fires, hits Fw190
lvnhack fires, misses

2 Fws miss, but circle again

Fw scores 3 hits, circles to attack again
-superficial damage to port wing
-superficial damage to tail
-radio room – the intercom system is knocked out, so no one can communicate within the plane

-superficial damage to pilot compartment

Fw scores 2 hits
-tail – elevator control cables are slightly damaged, but functional

The 2 Fws break off their attack due to low fuel.

Zone 1: England

Good weather
Clint brings the three-engine plane in for a good, and very early, landing.

Aftereffects

Jazzzlovr goes home to face life as a one-armed tech support person.
