He's a goddamn idiot, but I still think he'll do it. If he didn't have his mind made up already, he wouldn't be playing this season like he is. I think he's coasting to try to get on the the pros.

I'm completely indifferent as to whether he stays or goes. He's just such a liability on the road and we become so dependent on him because of his performance in home games that we essentially guarantee this wild home/rd split and that's just not viable for a team that has any designs on doing damage in the tournament.

OTOH, he's very very good when he's good. If you could just talk him into being that guy for 3 weeks in March, you'd have your Final 4 team.

I'll just take it as it comes is the end result.
I think he's going to leave as well. Part of me looks at what Pressey CAN be (and wonders... with Clarkson and Brown on the wings, would Phil focus less on scoring and be more 2011-12 version?) and thinks maybe it would be good if he stuck around...

But I don't think I've seen a Mizzou player who is more of a double-edged sword than Pressey. His atrocious defense (and it is bad.... just look at what opposing PGs have done vs. Phil this year) is a real problem (and it's an effort thing. When he tries, he's good). And he can shoot/pass you out of a game incredibly quickly, especially on the road.

Part of me thinks next year, it might be best if we can turn the page on Pressey and move forward. That will put a lot of pressure on Jordan Clarkson to run the point effectively and and Wes Clark to be a solid backup, but I think they're up to it. Clark's game reminds me quite a bit of Mike Dixon's, actually.

Big question is going to be what Missouri does up front. You can expect Criswell to start and be good. Not sure who starts next to him. JUCO C Keanu Post probably is better served as a bench guy next year. Incoming frosh Jonathan Williams III is thin but talented. Stefan Jankovic offers an interesting offensive skillset if he can avoid fouling every 6.8 seconds.

PG - Clarkson/Clark
SG - Brown/Clarkson/NWC
SF - Ross/
PF - ??? (WIlliams III/Jankovic/Torren Jones)
C - Criswell/Post/Rosburg

It would be a large group, which is intriguing defensively (three big, physical 6-4/6-5 Gs who can switch all screens gives you options). Not a ton of inside scoring, though, unless JW3 is an impact freshmen, Criswell improves a ton, or Jankovic takes a big step.
