Motte throws a little to hard to be safe in a field like this.
At 98 mph, if the hitter just flicks the bat head out there he can drive it over the fence. 1-run lead in a small ballpark is an absolute house of horrors for Motte.
I'm not real comfortable right now, that's for sure. I'd almost rather see Boggs or maybe even Rosenthal in these spots. Motte's stuff just doesn't play well in this situation.
