If the Chiefs stand pat with Cassel or go to a retread they will win 7 games. Reid will not have the Chiefs in position to take the top QB next year so the argument is worthless. I have never been part of the next year will be better crowd. I have realized that the Chiefs were never in a position to grab the QBs that were there. The Chiefs were 2-14 in 2008 and picked 3rd even though they had the same record as this past year. That year the only QB worth anything was taken 2 picks before.

The only top QBs we have left on the board in the last decade were Flacco and Freeman. I don't think the Vikings did the best thing by just taking a warm body in Ponder. Geno Smith is not Ponder. If you can tell me that Geno Smith will be gone by pick 6, there is no reason not to take him at 1.
