If we're talking career, it's Kobe. If we're talking the last five years, it's Wade (he was the #2 player in the league for a stretch there behind LeBron...Kobe hasn't been at that level for a while now). If we're talking right now, right at this very moment, it's basically a wash. Kobe has declined significantly (which is pretty easy to see), but Wade had a pretty poor year by his standards this season as well and seems to be on the decline.
The original point was that LeBron is the best player in the league by far and has been for the last half-decade. Durant has now taken the #2 spot from Wade/Paul/Kobe, but he's not near LeBron yet (as this series solidified).
