I have a friend who slipped on the stairs leading to her basement last summer. She twisted on the way down and wound up smacking the back of her head against a door frame at the bottom. Her son happened to find her lying unconscious in a pool of blood. Some 30-odd stitches later and she still had no memory of what happened and spoke with a bit of a slur. Legion are the peeps who have busted their egg on stairs.

Yeah, in the big picture it was pretty minor. I was pretty proud of my cat, who came running to see if I was okay.

Here's the re-enactment in MS Paint, with an action shot of my cat running to the rescue. The bottom of the stairs turns right and has a door, which I opened with some body part.
