Could be a function of practice, who knows. Every great needs a match. Had nadal not come along Federer might've already retired. McEnroe forced Connors to get better and play longer. Jack stayed on his game longer probably because Watson and Teevino and Seve came along. Golfs parity (18/19 majors won by different guys before today and still 18/20) may not motivate Tiger as much.
