Yes. be it actual pop or pop/rock or pop/country. It's like they're running out of ideas and abandoning what made each genre great. I.E. they aren't trying. Effort and belief can save each genre. Now to find artists who have that.

For me, the main thing is that most pop music lyrics dont mean anything.... meaningful. When that crosses with the song also sounding awful to begin with..... eghhh
