And good for them. All I'm saying is that ND is not the only factor in B12 expansion. Everyone is waiting for the financials to be hammered out with the new playoff system before making official moves, which means we probably won't see any real movement until this time next year.
So, ND can agree to whatever they want... for now. But, indications are, that if the projections are correct for FSU, they will be in the B12 soon, the money per year is too significant not to. If the SEC gets their way, they'll add a couple of ACC teams as well. Another travel partner comes with FSU, maybe the B!G makes a move in the area or two, and all of a sudden there's no real ACC to partner with in the Orange Bowl. ND withdraws due to a change in the contract conditions and then they reassess if the Independent route is what they really want to stroll.
Of course, that's all speculation, but it isn't beyond the realm of possibility, that's why I don't really care what ND does at this time. They want to project a position of strength, so they go ahead and make this deal. They really can't make any major moves until the NBC contract comes to term, anyway.
