I remember the day this board was started. Came over from the Star BB. I've forgotten how to check, but I'm pretty sure I was one of the first ten people to register here.

This board has--for me--outlasted 3 degrees, a marriage, several moves, and some of the best and worst times of my life. I've lived from coast to coast and this has been one of the constants for me. I was actually on here posting a few hours before going to the church for my first marriage.

During law school, lurking here helped me keep my sanity. I remember KCJohnny's meltdown, American Hero, KCGannonstalker/Denise, and many more.

I remember when GoChiefs/Pam Oliver's Forehead first showed up and pissed everyone off again and again. I remember his infamous thread about people getting it on in his house.

I remember the thread for the board's 1 millionth post.

I rarely post but I lurk all the time. I remember Buster's Dad and Logical going out, and the farewell thread we had for Jim. I remember Mr. Blonde (isn't he doing time now?) and of course Gaz.

This board is where I got much of my 9/11 info, as well as daily news on pretty much any topic you can think of.

It's been a heck of a ride. I never thought I would stick around so long. When I joined I was young, naive, and thought the whole world would be my oyster. I've done a lot of growing up since then.

I've often wondered how this board would eventually end, and if I would be around to see it.

That makes me wonder....I remember a few years (probably more like 8 or 9) back there was a thread where the regulars could list contact info for real life people so CP'ers could find out if something had happened if a regular suddenly went missing.

Has there ever been discussion about any sort of succession plan if something were to happen to AustinChief?
