Boston won a championship because Ainge built a stacked team for a short-term run. They are one of only 8 teams to win one in the last 28 years. And we all knew age would eventually catch up to them. Maybe it was a mistake for him to milk the team off instead of blowing it up and rebuilding. But he's at least earned the right to try to rebuild.
If Self\AD traded away a player that destroyed their championship team KU fans would all be screaming.
