McGahee is 31 years old and this is his 9th season... so, they need to make sure they work in the other guys to keep him fresh for the long haul.
The nice thing so far is his production - many said the ground game would fall apart with the departure of Tebow.
Through 4 games - he has 3 TDs, which is 1 less than in all of 2011.
--Rushing attempts per game - 17, which is his best since 2007.
--4.7 Y/A ... is the 3rd best in his career.
--81.3 Y/G ... the best he's averaged in his career.
If you take this across the full season, he's got 1200 yds and 12 TDs... gimme 1,000 yds and 8 TDs and I'm more than happy.
Plus, he's had 9 catches in 4 games - doesn't sound like much, but it's putting him on pace to have his 2nd best receiving season of his career.
Again - he fits the role in Denver very well. Now they need Hillman and Ball to step up and add something to the mix.
