The primary problem is, the Chiefs should not have needed those clutch throws if the offense had executed more effectively and consistently in the first 3 qtrs.
And I am not pointing solely at Smith.

I really don't care how a QB performs in the first 3 quarters as long as he keeps the team in the game. Eli and big Ben are building hall of fame careers off of taking what the team gives them, then being nails in the 4th quarter. they have a knack for playing well in shootouts and terrible when their defense is nails. I would gladly take that over an explosive offense. But we have to see philly Alex smith consistently. The Dallas Alex smith is a recipe for playoff disaster.
