High School summer team. I'm playing catcher and this mexican kid swings and misses at the plate. He swings and follow's through TOO much and whips the bat far enough around to hit me on the back with it. He apologizes, "I'm sorry man".
Me in a passive aggressive voice: "Sorry, my ass! You do that again, I'm going to beat your ass".
He responds with, "What'd you say!?!"
"You heard me! Do it again and I'm going to beat your ass".
Umpire intervened and said, "Come on guys. Play ball" or something of the sort.
Needless to say on his following swings the bat didn't touch me at all.
I think about it from time to time til this day and figure it was something he'd be like, "Watch what I do to the catcher when I get up there".
Good times indeed.
