There has to be a trade off somewhere... there were times KU over committed to defending the 3 and gave up easy baskets. And what do you do with Withey, with Niang shooting nine 3s?
ISU does attempt 26 3s per game and have hit 37% for the season (41% tonight), so defending their offense isn't just an issue for Kansas. Considering they swept Iowa State, regardless of how miraculous it was, I'll still take concentrating on being the #1 FG% team in the country and forcing other teams to win by shooting 3s.
The only 3s that really annoy me are the ones they give up when the opponent is standing a couple of steps behind the arc and the defender simply lets him shoot it from there... and that happened at least a few times late.
WTF do you think he's going to do?
