I figured Shane's death was coming (it's a bit unfortunate, as he carried this show for the bulk of the 2nd season before he went completely off the wall), but having Rick take the step of killing him in cold blood like that was a great way to end that saga.
And they've been suggesting for a while now that everybody comes back after death since the end of season 1, but we finally got real confirmation of that.
That's a lot of zombies coming up on that farm...I guess we're in store for a bit of a battle.
