This whole post is idiotic. Manning requested them to come see him? They did and declined to sign him? Tebow was traded away for Manning? I must gave missed him on the colts...
And asked Smith want under contract because the niners CHOSE to let him become a free agent.
Again name another in their prime qb who had just won a playoff game that season to become a free agent.
Its VERY rare. Like off the too of my had I can't remember it happening in at last the last ten years.
Why?
Because teams LOCK up those guys long term.
