I think they are trying to rope in FSU and Notre Dame in which the contracts would be torn up and completely re-written.
I only think this because these are the only two schools that have been mentioned specifically by Big 12 administrators during the Big 12 meetings a couple months ago.
Those are the only two schools that add any real value to the Big 12 at this point. If ND cannot be convinced then the deal will be finalized and signed. Which is probably what will end up happening...I think.
