Should the government's intelligence services be able to listen to the content of communications between al qaeda members in Somalia without a warrant? What if their call is routed through a server in the US, should that give them a shield? What if an al Qaeda planner is calling someone inside the US, should his call be protected?

And if, under any of those scenarios, you think the intelligence officer needs to get a warrant to access the content, do you think the government can record and archive the call to preserve it long enough to get that warrant or do they just have to miss the opportunity because they can't even do that without a getting a warrant in advance?
