I stumbled across this great interview with Howard Cosell from many years ago, near the end of his career. It's amazing how he was so involved with all the top athletes of the time, major events in history, and his legacy. He was the most amazing boxing announcer. He also pounded the booze before, during and after his broadcasts, including Monday Night Football. He once puked on Don Meredith's cowboy boots during MNF broadcast!

For all of us over 45, he was a big part of our sports lives growing up while watching sports.

I got to briefly meet him on the streets of NYC somewhere in the very early 80's. He was a real tall guy and was smoking a cigar. I was with my Dad who worked at the NY Daily News.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Not everyone liked him for sure.
