Here's some food for thought... Year before last McElroy was the best rookie QB of the preseason. He got cut on Saturday. He was 36 for 59 and threw for 359 yards and 2 TDs. His QB rating was an 87.8. He was better than Newton, Dalton and Kaepenick.
